It's Tuesday...
Trek-Initiative Trek-Tuedsay 001

To show our appreciation for the community here on the Trek Initiative (this means you!), we will be releasing exclusive material from the Roddenberry Entertainment archives.

Here is this week's release, we hope you enjoy it!

Gene roddenberry

This week, in honor of the official Star Trek Convention happening Aug. 8-11 in Las Vegas (Trek Initiative will be there!!), we have an audio recording that Gene Roddenberry himself made in order to answer questions posed to him by interviewer Jules Urbach. Urbach was a 9th grade classmate of Gene's son Rod, who was interviewing Gene for the school newspaper. While the recording quality is not "great," this is still a very interesting insight into the mind of the creator of this worldwide phenomenon we call Star Trek. Recorded in 1989, at the beginning of the relaunch series "Star Trek: The Next Generation," many of the questions have to do with breathing life back into the TV side of the franchise. Listen, and enjoy!
