|Recently, there has been talk of a possible new Star Trek TV series, taking the franchise back to its small-screen roots. I think we'd all love to see this come to pass, but at the same time, I think we all have different ways we'd like to see it happen. So, if you could "have it your way," which era would you like to see the series take place in? Would you prefer a ship-based main cast, or a stationary base such as DS9? Submit your vote here, and then explain in the Comments below.|
Which era would you most like to see explored by a potential new Trek TV series?
Would you prefer a potential new series be Starship-based, or station-based?
|This week, we want to know which opening sequence was either just flat out the best, or was your personal favorite throughout all the TV series. We've included some of the major variants for your consideration such as The Original Series remastered, and Enterprise mirror-universe versions, as well as some of the more minor updates. Several of these give us goosebumps, but which one makes you want to stop what you're doing (possibly because resistance is futile...) and watch a couple episodes?
Have a look at the versions we've rounded up, cast your vote, and let us know why it's your pick in the "Comments" below.

|In the five live-action Star Trek series, the role of "doctor" has never been limited to simply "healer," and rarely have their duties been confined to sick bay alone. They've been advisors, confidants, friends, role models... they've been on away missions taken part in covert ops... they've even saved the entire crew before in a non-medical capacity. The question is, which doctor was the best all-around contributor to their crew, their ship, and their respective series... and why? Submit your vote, but then comment below and give us the reasoning behind your choice.|
